Duane Jonasson, General Manager
In this position, Duane directs all aspects of operations of the business, including all financial, budgeting, operating, human resources, and administrative functions. He has 9 years of experience in the fabrication industry, serving as General Manager for Kringstad Ironworks, and Lean Technologies prior to joining Midwest Fabrications. Duane was also employed by Day and Zimmermann, Inc. in Philadelphia, PA as a Senior Financial Analyst where he was noted for his proficiency in financial reporting, auditing and expense controls to support various project accounting activities within the government contracting division of a $1.3 billion managed services provider. Duane has over 11 years’ experience in banking, and served as Vice President for a North Dakota community bank. He also was employed as the Economic Development Director for the City of Grafton, North Dakota, and assisted in bringing a Marvin Windows Expansion to the city resulting in over 500 additional jobs. Duane holds a Bachelors of Business Administration Degree, with an Accounting Major, from the University of North Dakota.
Ron Buchwitz, Production Manager and Sales Manager
Ron manages all sales and marketing activities, as well as oversees all production and shop operations. He has over 10 years of experience in the fabrication industry, joining Kringstad Ironworks in 2006 as their Purchasing Manager. In 2008 Ron was promoted to General Manager where he managed the day to day operations and quoting of all jobs, including pricing of American Crystal Sugar Company Sugar Beet Pilers. Prior to Kringstad Ironworks, Ron was employed by a trio of family owned businesses in Hoople, ND, Olson Oil Company, Olson Fertilizer Company, and GLD Farms. Ron spent 26 years with these companies spending most of his time with the farming operation, which at that time was the biggest supplier of potatoes to Old Dutch Company in Minneapolis. His duties were to oversee and manage the daily operations of the farm.
